‘What I love is that where possible all children receive the same food - where at all possible all food is suitable for free from diets. So, for example, all the fish fingers are gluten free, dairy free etc and are served to all children regardless of whether they have an allergy. This makes it firstly easier to serve and administer but also means it is all inclusive. I wished this had been the case when my children were at primary school.' 'The University has clearly made an excellent effort to include a range of dishes and options for allergies and vegan diets - the staff are obviously proud of this and rightly so - they are knowledgeable and helpful with alternatives. There is room for a greater variety of more nutritious options but I think this University should be congratulated for their clear committment to staff and students with allergies - well done.' Some good kitchen protocols in place and encouraging to see plenty of wrapped (so safe) freefrom products on offer. Interesting menu ideas including lots of vegan and vegetarian options. It would be good to see gluten free wraps available (just to vary the bread offer) and a list of soup/allergens in all outlets.' Bronze 'A reasonable basic freefrom offer although staff did not appear to be very allergen aware.
