
How to enter the FreeFrom Eating Out Awards
1. Look at the categories listed below and decide which one is approriate for your establishment
2. Email Kathy and ask her to send you the link to the entry form for your chosen category.
3. The link will take you to a Google Doc. If you want to part fill in the entry form and then come back to it, you can do this, but please read the instructions on how to do so carefully.
4. When you have completed the form, enter FINISHED in the final box and send the form.
5. When we receive your completed entry form we will send you an invoice for your entry fee and we will forward your entry to our on-line judges.
Remember:
You will get a 10% discount on your entry fee if you get your completed entry form in by 15th July. (By 30th June for Category 8.)
6. All entrants will get a full and FREE listing in the new Can I Eat There? directory; outlets shortlisted in the awards will get a FREE premium listing on the site.
7. We will use our judges' comments on your form to draw up a shortlist which will be published in October.
8. Potential winners will be visited, incognito, by our judges during September and October. The judges will be assessing both the quality of your food and the quality of your allergy-awareness.
9. Winners will be announced at the presentations (to which all the entrants will be invited) at Food Matters Live on November 22nd.
N.B. Entry closes on 15th September except for:
Category 7 (Schools & Colleges) which closes on 30th September.
Category 8 (Food manufactured for food service) which closes on 17th July.

The outlet must offer a minimum of one gluten-free and one dairy and/or egg free savoury dish and one gluten-free and one dairy and/or egg free sweet dish.

2. Fish & Chip shops
The outlet must offer a minimum of one gluten-free 'day' per week.

3. Pubs and pub restaurants
The outlet must offer a minimum of three gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free savoury dishes and two gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free sweet dishes.

5. Corporate hospitality and catering
The organisation must offer a minimum of three gluten-free and two dairy & egg free starters, three gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free savoury dishes and three gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free sweet dishes for any function.

Organisations with 4 full-time employees or fewer: £55 + VAT
Organisations with more than 4 full-time employees: £125 + VAT
6. Hotels and guest houses
- B&Bs, Guest houses and independent hotels
- Hotel chains
The outlet must offer a minimum of three gluten-free and two dairy & egg free starters, three gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free savoury dishes and three gluten-free and two dairy and/or egg free sweet dishes – plus two gluten-free and two dairy-free breakfast options.

B&Bs / guest houses with 4 rooms or less: £35 + VAT
Individual guest houses/hotels with maximum two outlets: £55 + VAT
Hotel chains with 3 or more outlets: £125 + VAT
7. Schools, colleges and universities
The School or college must offer a reasonable choice of gluten, dairy and egg free savoury and sweet dishes every day and have an emergency protocol for dealing with allergic reactions.

University & college restaurants and cafés: £55 + VAT

8. Foods manufactured for food service
To qualify for this category, all entries must be free of at least one of the main major allergens – wheat/gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soya and sulphites.
Entry fees:
Companies with 3 or fewer employees: £90 per product + VAT
Companies with over 3 employees: £125 per product + VAT
