In the first round of the judging process, your establishment will be marked on the answers that you provide here. Therefore please make sure you give accurate answers in as much detail as possible.

Entry opens 8th June and closes on 15th September 2015

Entry criteria:
The organisation must offer a minimum of three gluten-free and two dairy & egg free starters, three gluten-free and two dairy & egg free savoury dishes and three gluten-free and two dairy & egg free sweet dishes for any function.

Entry fees:
Organisations with 4 full-time employees or fewer: £55 + VAT
Organisations with more than 4 full-time employees: £75 + VAT

Judging process

Stage 1. The judges will use the completed entry forms to assess how well the establishment has understood the requirements of the new legislation, how well they are implementing them in their protocols and their training – and to gain some idea of what they are offering their customers/guests in terms of allergen-free/gluten-free food.

Stage 2. The judges will draw up a shortlist of establishments who are well on the way to being award winners.

Stage 3. The potential award winners will be visited, incognito, by our judges both to ensure that the protocols that they described in their entry form are being put into practice – and to asses the the quality of their food.

Stage 4. On the basis of all of our judges’ findings, Winning, Highly Commended and Commended awards will be made. These will be presented by our patron, Antony Worrall Thompson, at the Food Matters Live Event on 17th November 2015 at Excel in London.
